Oversized cowhide leather blazer from COMME des GARÇONS HOMME, Autumn/Winter 1989-90. This piece may seem simple at first, but it carries a lot of history. On the one hand, it comes from one of the last COMME des GARÇONS HOMME collections designed by Rei Kawakubo herself. On the other hand, it is one of the only times that the brand ever produced genuine leather garments. Whatever the history is, it is an incredible piece on top of it all. It fits nicely, and it is both practical and elegant. Prone to showing signs of wear, the leather holds multiple traces of its lifetime of 35+ years.
