About

My Clothing Archive

Founded in 2019, My Clothing Archive is a fashion platform that specializes in multi-media research on influential designers. We adapt and contextualize fashion history for the digital media landscape. With a focus on Japanese fashion from the past 40 years, we support our research with a collection of over 500 garments and 1000 rare books & publications assembled over the past decade. By exploring how clothes intersect with other creative media, we trace the development of fashion and support its continuity.

Sophie Abriat from Le Monde cited My Clothing Archive as an example of a social account spreading archival footage of Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto.
