These Terms of Service & Conditions govern your use of the My Clothing Archive website (myclothingarchive.net), including the online store and the ID Tools service. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. We recommend that you read them carefully.
1. Store
Orders & Shipping
By placing an order, you enter into a binding agreement with Archives de Mode My Clothing Archive Inc. Once your order is received, you will receive an email notification with tracking information. We reserve the right to cancel an order if we are unable to verify your information or if stock levels are incorrect at the time of purchase.
If you choose to decline receipt of your package, you are responsible for any additional shipping, taxes, duties, or customs charges incurred for the return shipment. My Clothing Archive is not responsible for lost or stolen shipments — claims must be made by the customer to the appropriate carrier. We are not responsible for import duties, taxes, or delays caused by customs.
Because many of our items are second-hand, some pieces may show varying degrees of wear consistent with their age and prior use.
Items are typically shipped the same or next business day following order confirmation, depending on the time of order.
Returns & Refunds
Our return policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery. After 30 days, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange.
We do not accept returns or exchanges on vintage or used goods.
For new goods, items must be unused, in their original condition, and in original packaging to be eligible for a return. To initiate a return, contact us at contact@myclothingarchive.com with proof of purchase.
Partial refunds may be granted in the following situations:
- Items with obvious signs of use
- Items not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
Once a return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are applied to your original method of payment within a reasonable number of days. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping may be deducted.
Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items are final sale.
2. ID Tools
The ID Tools are a paid garment identification service provided by Archives de Mode My Clothing Archive Inc. at myclothingarchive.net/id-tools.
2.1 Accounts
To use the ID Tools, you must create an account using a valid email address and password, or via Google Sign-In. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account we believe to be held by a person under 18, without refund.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@myclothingarchive.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
2.2 Balance & Payments
Access to paid identifications requires a positive balance on your account. Balance is added by purchasing credits through our payment provider, Stripe. All purchases are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
The current price per identification is displayed on the tool page and in your account settings. Prices may change at any time with reasonable notice posted on the website.
Balance is non-refundable. Unused balance has no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account or converted to store credit. If you delete your account, any remaining balance is forfeited without compensation.
2.3 Gift Codes
From time to time, we may issue gift codes that add balance or credits to an account. Gift codes are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Unless otherwise stated, gift codes expire one year from the date of issue. Each gift code may only be redeemed once per account. We reserve the right to deactivate or modify gift codes at any time.
2.4 Identification Services
Each identification request consumes one credit from your balance upon a successful result. Failed identifications (no match found) are not charged.
Certain resubmissions of the same identification may qualify for a reduced rate or no charge at our discretion. This determination is made automatically based on criteria defined by the service, and may change at any time without notice.
Demo identifications are available on each brand page at no charge and do not require an account. Demo inputs are predefined and fixed.
2.5 Accuracy
Identification results are provided for informational purposes only. Archives de Mode My Clothing Archive Inc. makes no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Results should not be relied upon for commercial, legal, or financial decisions without independent verification. The service is intended to assist collectors and researchers and does not constitute professional authentication or appraisal.
2.6 Intellectual Property
All content on myclothingarchive.net, including but not limited to identification results, methodology, software, text, images, and design, is the property of Archives de Mode My Clothing Archive Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this website without our prior written consent.
2.7 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to circumvent the payment system or any automatic eligibility determination
- Use automated tools, scripts, bots, or any means other than the website interface to submit identification requests
- Share account credentials with others or allow others to use your account
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the service
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund and, where appropriate, to pursue legal remedies.
2.8 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from your account page. Upon deletion, your identification history and personal data will be removed from your active account. Your email address will be retained in our records to prevent re-registration fraud. Any remaining balance is forfeited upon deletion. See our Privacy Policy for more details on data retention.
2.9 Service Availability & Force Majeure
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the ID Tools. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to internet outages, third-party service failures, natural disasters, or government actions. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions, regardless of cause.
2.10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Archives de Mode My Clothing Archive Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the ID Tools, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or inaccurate identification results.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the ID Tools shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific identification(s) directly at issue.
3. General
Intellectual Property
All content on myclothingarchive.net is the property of Archives de Mode My Clothing Archive Inc. or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms of Service & Conditions or your use of our website or services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec for the resolution of any such dispute.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
